Dead Club City tour
February 13, 2025 – Rockhal, Luxembourg
After the release of their fourth record, the English alternative rock band, Nothing But Thieves brought their “Dead Club City” tour to the Rockhal, delivering a spectacular show.
As the final notes of “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!” by ABBA echoed through the venue, blood-red lights illuminated the space, and the quintet burst onto the stage with “Oh No :: He Said What?”. The audience was then taken on a captivating musical journey moving from pure energy to more intimate moments, as the band shifted seamlessly between hard rock tunes, poignant ballads, and vibrant dance tracks. Since its formation in 2012 Nothing But Thieves have been experimenting with different styles and evolving their sound, transcending genre boundaries and remaining committed to avoiding confinement to a single category. Over these years the line-up has never changed and the tightness of the band is apparent on stage and translates to their music.
Each band member had their moment in the spotlight. Charismatic lead singer Conor Mason captivated the crowd, swirling around the stage while showcasing his extraordinary vocal talent. Guitarists Craik and Joe Langridge-Brown delivered a notable performance locking into a fierce jam with drummer James Price and bassist Phil Blake.
The setlist flowed seamlessly from newer tracks like “Tomorrow Is Closed” to older hits such as “Broken Machine” and the heartfelt “Sorry.”
The show drew to its close with “Welcome to the DCC”, the flagship track from their latest album, followed by “Impossible” from the album Moral Panic. The band briefly left the stage, only to return for an encore that culminated in the explosive performance of their hit “Amsterdam” and the concert’s closing track, the epic “Overcome.”
As the final notes faded and the crowd cheered, it was clear that Nothing But Thieves had not only delivered an unforgettable performance but had also forged a lasting connection with every fan in the arena.
