King of the Monstrous tour
March 11, 2025– Den Atelier, Luxembourg
On Tuesday, March 11, guitar hero Zakk Wylde (Ozzy Osbourne’s guitar player for many years) brought his Black Sabbath tribute band, Zakk Sabbath, to Luxembourg, celebrating the heavy metal pioneers’ legacy . From the very first riffs of “Supernaut”, it was evident that Zakk Sabbath did not merely recreate Sabbath’s music, they offered equally exciting and varied interpretations infused with their own energy. Wylde’s commanding stage presence was striking – wearing a kilt, biker’s boots, his face concealed beneath a mass of hair and a thick beard, he commanded the stage. Often stepping onto a raised platform lifting his guitar high in his classic pose, the iconic Zakk Wylde silhouette towered against the stage lights.
With bassist Rob “Blasko” Nicholson (OZZY OSBOURNE, ROB ZOMBIE) and drummer Joey Castillo (DANZIG, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE), the trio took the packed venue on a powerful journey through the classic tracks of Black Sabbath, showing that songs wrote 50 years ago are still full of life.
Wylde showed that he is still a monstrous guitar player, shredding on extended searing guitar solos -while keeping the audience engaged all throughout – and executing some mind-blowing over-the-head playing.
For fans of heavy metal and Black Sabbath, this concert was a must-see event.
P.S. : Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath are coming together for one final performance at a fundraising concert in Birmingham on July 5. They will headline an extraordinary festival at Villa Park, showcasing numerous bands they have influenced, such as Metallica, Pantera, Slayer, Gojira, and Anthrax. The concert will mark the first time that Black Sabbath’s original line-up – Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward – have played together in 20 years.
