Wine Lips, a fiercely energetic garage-punk band hailing from Toronto, has been making waves since their formation in 2015. Currently on tour to promote their latest album, Super Mega Ultra, their live performances are nothing short of exhilarating.

From the moment they hit the stage, the atmosphere was charged with a chaotic yet playful energy. Their sound is an explosive blend of adrenaline and rawness — it’s ear-splitting, edgy, and witty. Each note seemed to hit the audience like a punch to the chest, sparking a primal electricity that ignited the crowd.

Frontman Cam Hilborn’s encouragement quickly transformed the audience into a swirling mosh pit. I felt an irresistible urge to dive into the chaos (thankfully, I only had my compact camera with me..). It earned me a splash of beer on my head, a few bruises on my legs, and a hard slam against the wall, but above all I gained this beautifully messy experience that brought a profound sense of liberation and connection with other people that transcends generations.

All that mattered was the fiery passion for the music and feeling vibrantly alive — which is the very essence of rock ‘n’ roll.
