August 15, 2025– Rotondes, Luxembourg
On August 15, Sprints performed at Rotondes in Luxembourg. The Irish band, among the most promising acts on the European alternative scene, delivered a live show free of artifice yet full of energy.
The Dublin-based post-punk quartet has established itself in recent years as one of the most compelling realities on the European alternative scene. The band presented a direct and intense show, marked by raw energy, expressive urgency, and an immediate connection with the audience.
The concert confirmed the growth of a band that has managed to break through with a convincing debut album, Letter to Self, warmly received by both critics and audiences, pushing Sprints toward an international dimension that now sees them performing on major stages across different countries. Expectations for the new album All That Is Over are high, and the previewed tracks played during the show suggested a further step forward in terms of songwriting and artistic awareness.
The setlist ranged from the best-known tracks from the debut album Letter to Self to new compositions introducing the upcoming release. The set alternated moments of pure sonic explosion with more restrained passages that revealed a search for greater emotional depth. The sound was sharp and effective: bass and drums provided a solid, steady foundation, guitars shifted between aggression and darker atmospheres, while Karla Chubb dominated the stage with her fierce and magnetic presence. Her timbre—capable of moving from visceral anger to fragile, intimate tones—made each song distinctive and deeply personal.
The show closed to long applause, a clear sign of a satisfied audience fully engaged by the intensity of the performance. For many attendees, it was an opportunity to experience firsthand the strength of a band that is rapidly consolidating its identity, far from compromises and easy commercial solutions.
